A Promise Kept: Thank You for Building Our Community's Future

Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Friends,

When we first reached out to you, we had little more than an empty shell of a building and a sincere intention. You entrusted us with your donations, giving solely for the sake of Allah to help establish a permanent home for our community in South East London.

Today, we are honored to show you the fruits of your contribution. The doors are open, the prayers have begun, and the children are learning. This reality exists because you stood by us.

A Special Note on Your Zakat Contributions We take the Amanah (trust) of your donations very seriously. Please be assured that no Zakat funds were used for the construction or renovation of this building. All Zakat collected was separated and used strictly for Zakat-eligible purposes. Only your voluntary Sadaqah and Lillah contributions were utilized to build this center.

From Vision to Reality

The Starting Point

What started as an empty building and a shared dream is now a place where our community comes together to pray, learn, and grow. These photos show the journey your generosity made possible.

Your Lillah in Action

A Humble Glimpse into Our Journey

We also put together a short video to walk you through the transformation. To be honest, as a community, we struggled a bit with the video production, so it isn't a perfectly polished or professional edit! However, it is a completely genuine, heartfelt look at the hard work, volunteer spirit, and love that went into this project. We invite you to watch our journey below.

With your support, we have completed:

• A clean, dignified main hall for prayers and gatherings

• Secure and vibrant classrooms for our children

• Wudu facilities and renovations

• Carpentry, electrical work, and interior finishing

This Is More Than Just a Building. It Is Now a Home for Our Community.

• A permanent place for Jumu'ah and Ramadan prayers.

• A safe space where our children learn about Islam in proper classrooms.

• An Islamic nursery to support local families in need.

• A vibrant hub for monthly charity events and community gatherings.

This building is no longer just a project; it is your legacy. Every time a forehead touches the ground in sajdah, and every time a child recites a letter of the Quran within these walls, you share in that immense reward.

May Allah (SWT) accept your generosity as a Sadaqah Jariyah, multiply your provisions, and build you a beautiful home in Jannah.

With deepest gratitude,The SELECC Team
